Continued filament advance AFTER color change

When using colorprint to print multiple layer colors, and it pauses to ask you if the new color is clear...I then pull out the expressed filament to examine it, and when clear, confirm it is so. Then, AFTER you press to accept that the color is clear, why does it then again spit out another 10 - 20 cm or so of filament before moving to restart printing? You have to sit there and kind of chase it with pliers in a short window from when you accept it is clear to when it starts moving, so you can pull that extra off so it doesn't accidentally get caught on your print somewhere.

Not a huge deal, but I'm sure that is an easy thing to remove in the firmware, no? Unless I'm missing a valid reason for it???

Note, this was from firmware 3.1.0, which I just updated to, and was the latest at the time, a couple of weeks ago, so didn't think to check to see if a new release was out yet...

Apparently, this has been fixed in 3.4.0-RC2

M600 fixes: There was bug which caused reseting during filament change when printing over USB (issue #1046) and also some extra material was extruded at the end of filament change procedure which formed little blob on printed object. These two bugs have been fixed.

Spoke too soon again...that fix is for the MK2.5 and 3. Will submit an issue in GitHub for the MK2 variant.
