Confusing Firmware upgrade message on my i3 MK2S
Every time I print something lately, either through Octoprint or using an SD card, my MK2S stops the process with a message on the LC Display saying that an upgrade is available. I'm running 3.2.3, but the display says I can upgrade to 3.10.0. I'm not seeing any such upgrade availability, and I'm wondering if there is a way to just shut down this message, if only because it requires me to push the control button on the display head to proceed with any print.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan
RE: Confusing Firmware upgrade message on my i3 MK2S
Hi Dan,
Have you got the correct Prusa Slicer, printer model, selected?
I Have just downloaded PrusaSlicer 2.4.0 to my spare laptop, and configured it for the Mk2S Printer and the Custom Gcode, Start Gcode
includes this line
M115 U3.2.3 ; tell printer latest fw version (which identifies the Mk2 Firmware)
If I slice the same model with Mk3S printer profile I get
M115 U3.10.0 ; tell printer latest fw version (which would cause the error message that you are seeing)
you could simply comment out the line in the Custom Gcode Start Gcode,
Or you could check the configuration, to confirm you are using the correct printer profile for a mk2s in prusa slicer

Thank You very much! That was the problem. The printer was configured wrong in both the slicer and Octoprint.
Much appreciated....
