3D printer error and problems

Hi people, I have a PRUSA i3 MK2S printer, my printer is showing a MAXTEMP error. When I switch on my printer and try to Calibrate XYZ axis through the printer command, the calibration process stops with a high pitch beep sound which is continuous and my LED screen also goes blank and just shows a statement "error: MAXTEMP" and this sound doesn't stop until I manually switch off my printer. Furthermore, this is an irregular error and I don't always see this but generally after keeping my printer on for sometime I encounter this error. Please help me solve this error.

I'm thinking of replacing the thermistor as a whole. Also now i see a blank screen while i'm trying to calibrate XYZ axis and the long continuous beep sound is still there, do you think replacing the extrudder assembly would help?
I'm sorry my printer was not used for a while and that is why I am encountering so many issues, I highly appreciate you taking the time to help me fix my issue.

Re: 3D printer error and problems

replacing the whole hot end is usually un-necessary in this case.

if you turn the printer on, you should see room temperature shown on both the extruder and heatbed displays.

if you move the extruder from side to side, the temperature display should not change if it does change rapidly, then there is probably a wiring fault. if this is the case, I would either replace the whole thermistor cable assembly, or cut the thermistor wire behind the extruder, and just inside the rambo box, and replace the middle wiring, keeping the plug end and the thermistor end.

I would use heatshrink tubing and soldered joints and when reassembling I would ensure that the joints were either inside the rambo case, or fastened to the support behind the extruder, so that they were not in the flexing area of the cable bundle
