2017 MK2 FW upgrade gone wrong and Prusa dont support it HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLP

Basicaly  I was upgrading to a bond  extruder and the so-called  FW update went astray.

Bond crashing into the heat bed and not being able to calibrate.

Then halfway through the bed level scan it randomly dives into the bed mid calibration.

Tried a few versions of the firmware and I drew blanks everytime. Sent it to a person who said he is able to fix prusas however he drew a blank.

Got put aside and now its needed and it is now a doorstop.

I have a spare board with standard original FW on it. Can I copy the file off of that and modify the extrusion stepper value ?

Or better still get a file that already predone             Original Prusa I3 MK2  20/02/2017  13a board  with a bondtech extruder

Any hope to make it work again or do I part it out sell it and buy an ultimaker> Im in the sticks in Scotland so there ain't anyone local who is able to sort.

I was even thinking of a week in PRUSA LAND and take it with me to get repaired , however Ryan Airs baggage charges makes it totally uneconomical

they don't bring owls to Athen, neither do they bring old printers to Prague.

As to you issue. Maybe my experience with the MK2.5S can help, but not sure, because I do not know enough about the differences between MK2 and MK2.5. But let's give it a try.
- First of all (to avoid diving into the bed again): Heat it up and remove nozzle. (how simple can it be), so you do not damage more.
- Your printer does not know what extruder you have, it only knows about its own board and what is on that. So let's concentrate on that.
- You either have a rambo 10 or a rambo13 card. How to see what you have: http://www.prusa3d.com/downloads/firmware/EN-how-to-choose-firmware.pdf (also look in the menu on the printer > support > scroll down. So find out what card you have etc.
- Download your firmware here: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases?page=8 (or page 9) depending on your printer (open ASSETS)
-Flash the best fitting version (if you doubt) choose a version lower)
- Calibrate (still with nozzle of).
- when all looks well mount the nozzle and go from there.

Please let us know, how you go.

Regards, Eef

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
