Troubleshooting Spontaneous Print Issues
Hey all,
I've got about 11 days of printing on my Prusa i3 Mk2s and suddenly ran into problems with the filament staying on the bed. I reran all calibration steps, reset the z-axis and live adjusted it to where I had a nice first layer. However when I go to do a full print the layers seem to peel off. Some of it looks like it's catching the old filament when it does the first 9 calibration steps and then purges the tip. A little of it seems to catch around the nozzle after the process and then possibly adhere to the first-layer print and pull it off, especially when doing support material. I use 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean the bed before every print as well so I'm very concerned that this started happening so randomly. I attached photos of the failed prints in hopes someone has seen such an issue. Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
Re: Troubleshooting Spontaneous Print Issues
To me it looks like the first layer is too high above the print bed...
Additionally: II recently treated my print bed with Sand paper grit size 1000. I got a nice matt appearance. Since then, PLA sticks on the print bed very good - I need a spatula to remove I also use sterile alcohol wipes sometimes. They seem contain really pure alcohol - there is no "smearing" effect.
