RE: The most important links - Original Prusa i3 MK2/S
Hi there, a friend gave me their old / built Prusa i3 MK2. I fired it up, heated the hot end, loaded PLA, did a calibration and all is well. Then, I downloaded a Gcode (Prusa frog and a random cat I found) and tried printing a few times, that first layer is not sticking. Help!?!? Why would calibration work but not the print. Ideas are great, I'm green at this 3d printing stuff. Should I use glue or hairspray? If so, what kind. Second question is creating Gcode files. I use a PC and looks like the Prusa softare is for Mac(?) I might be able to use husbands Mac for the prusa software if needed. Which software do I use to made Gcode files from STLs? Help is much appreciated to point me in the right direction, this is all a little foreign language for me!

Got my first one recently too, and also would not stick. Try putting a layer of blue painters tape on the bed where your print it. Fixed my issues. Also try using the brim/raft and supports are important. Sometimes with our older machines I have found that I need to download the STL and slice for my machines settings with a custom profile.

Also, the Windows versions of Prusa Slicer and Prusa3D are available on the Prusa site.

Merci d'avance
