Heater Bed Connection Warning
tl;dr; Check your power connections before every print to make sure they are 100% fully plugged in all the way. This includes the hotend heater cartridge, the bed heater and the power supply connectors. DO THIS EVERY SINGLE TIME
The issue is any tension in those connectors that results in any looseness, no mater how small, will result in increased resistance. The heat generated from that will degrade and eventually melt the connectors. There are a number of threads where people have encountered the issue:

Honestly, that's rather "alarmist".
If your cable management is up to scratch, you just will not have this problem.
In the time I have had the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3, I only ever had one burned bed heater connector - after I had replaced the cables and didn't do the cable management properly after the swap.

That's fair! How about this phrasing:
As long as you're confident you've done the cable management steps 100% correct and nothing has disturbed them since you can skip this 30 second check prior to your 8 hour print. Keep in mind that if you don't know how to solder and this happens you're screwed.

🙂 I just wonder how many days I would have spent checking - and for nothing.
However, I understand where you are coming from, and I think the manuals don't stress the importance of the cable management enough. Problem is, that it's difficult to emphasise one thing when there's so much else of equal importance.
With all that being said, the most reliable printer I have is the one with soldered heat bed tails and decent (32 Amp) connectors.
