Electronics Enclosure
Hey all! I've had my Prusa i3 MK2s for a while now and I am really enjoying it, but I'm getting to the point where I want to do some modifications. I've seen the IKEA enclosures and similar that people do but I don't really want to cover my printer up because I like to tinker with it. So, I thought up the idea of having an entire separate housing for the electronics that would set below the printer and the printer could even be mounted to this other box. Obviously I would build this box and that wouldn't be too hard, but I would also need to lengthen all of the cables going from inside the box to the printer itself and this is where I am asking for your opinions. Have any of you had experience with lengthening all the wires? Also, I'm thinking the LCD could be put in the front of the box so it would solely be the printer on top of the box. What do y'all think? Any help is appreciated.
Re: Electronics Enclosure
If you mount the power supply on the same side as the Rambo enclosure you don't need to extend the wires, and there is no need to extend the already overlong LCD cables to mount that on the front face of your support platform.
