That is what I am thinking. I may get another printer kit, build it and see how it goes then the older one may go for the upgrade.

The deed is done. The wait begins. Which will arrive first. The colour upgrade. Or the second i3? 😀

It is dragging on. Is there a problem with supply of heatbeds? They are a spare part that cannot be ordered.

Last I heard that was the holdup. QC on the heatbeds is not great so hopefully they get that sorted as well.

My MK2 kit was ordered on November 16 and was shipped today. That's one month exactly.

Ordered on Nov 18th. Just passed customs and was departure scanned at UPS. UPS says it will deliver by end of day Monday Dec 19th. So almost exactly one month.

Ordered Nov 20 and still shows backordered.
Something tells me I may be lumped into the five to six week backlog.

I ordered my Orange Kit on November 13 and UPS tracking says it is enroute and will be in Tennessee on Dec 21. My order status still shows "Backorder" but I noticed the UPS Tracking number appeared near the bottom of the page for order history. Online support person told me on Friday morning that it will ship sometime "next week". These guys are obviously busy due to demand surge.

I just ordered mine. This is my first 3D printer ever and I'm very excited. I'll spend the next six weeks working on some models to pass the time. This is going to be so funnnnnn! =)

I do not have any patience, I look towards instant gratification. Make magazine and others ie Thomas Salanderer, created this demand due to an excellent printer that is good value for money, and has great reviews.

Hang in there, it is worth it.

Re: Current lead time, still 4 weeks ?

Ordered November 20th, got shipping notification for delivery December 23. So, at the time I ordered, they said four weeks and that was a very accurate estimate.

For those who ordered in early/mid November and have gotten their tracking numbers... Did you order the kit or the assembled printer? Also, what continent/country, what payment method? 🙂

Prusa FTW! :ugeek:

Mine was the 21st... so looks like I'm gonna have to wait till new year it seems.. was hoping secretly I'd get an update saying it delivered Xmas eve .
. Anyone know what days prusa HQ is closed ?

UPDATE : * just got a tracking number! says its in transit*

Re: Current lead time, still 4 weeks ?

My kit was ordered Nov 16 and UPS indicates it will be delivered today (central Ohio). Was shipped on Dec 16 but got hung up in Prague customs over the weekend.

The UPS tracking web site shows the last location as Koeln, Germany, but I got a text message from UPS (via their "UPS My Choice" service) indicating that a package from PRUSA Research was scheduled for delivery today. We'll see...
