X axis belt rubbing
Hey everyone so I recently received the MK2s kit and put it together. I'm having one of many issues but I'll start with this one first. So the x axis belt is rubbing against the PETG near the motor. I did a few searches and found a few things about it rubbing near the idler but nothing about it doing it near the motor. So as a temp fix for now I've added a washer to each screw to push the motor back some and I also didn't push the belt into the holder/extruder all the way. I'm basically trying to shift it as far to the left as possible. I also have the belt pretty loose I believe the rule is you want to be able to 'pluck it' and mine doesn't really do that. Everything seems straight and the idler is spinning fine, did I receive a bad part? I'll attach some photos and a short video (the video really shows off what's happening.
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: X axis belt rubbing
Hi Cody, read step 13 again and look closely at the pulley, then you'll know. 🙂

Oh my god... I'm so dumb thank you! Now I need to verify my y axis as well now lol. In case this helps anyone in the future my pully gear was backwards 😆
Thanks again!!!
Re: X axis belt rubbing
🙂 On the Y-Axis it's the other way around. So if you assemled your Y-Axis exactly the same, it's correct there.

Okay then I think I did it right I'll check later to verify. Thanks again for the help!
Re: X axis belt rubbing
what about if the belt is rubbing on opposite side ? (non motor side) also my belt is not always flat when printing (perpendicular to the board) it will twist slightly especially when the extruder is moving toward the motor. not sure if that is normal (ill post some pics later today)

Maybe worth checking your pulley orientation too. Just to eliminate that as the cause of your problem. Toothed end is closest to the motor?

Re: X axis belt rubbing
As mentioned previously by Bill, the toothed end should be towards the motor, so you have it wrong 🙁
