Troubleshooting under extrusion prusa mk2s
  • Hello everybody i need a little bit of help fixing my prusa mk2s.

Generally I print in only pla. My hot end temps range from 190-215 depending on brand color etc. My bed is around 55-65c. I have been having issues for about 5 months that I have tried to fix on my own that I haven't I've maybe had 5 good prints from this machine and its frustrated me to the point of wanting to give up. Here are some of the steps I have taken to remedy the issue.

This problem also happens on several other rolls of pla. This is why I bought a new hot end.

I have tried using cura simplified 3d slicer pe. I have sliced even a cal cube with a bunch of different setting the same results happen so I know it's not a software issue. The first layer is 100% perfect smooth as silk not to much squish not to little. I have replaced the hot end, ran a pid auto tune after wards, I have completely rebuilt the machine till it was completely perpendicular on the xyz calibration. I have done a flow calibration. I have used dial calipers to measure the extruder hatch bolts to being exactly 13mm. I have tried several different rolls of pla some old some new. I have ran calibration cubes retraction tests heat towers. I have re tightened my belts to the sound of a guitar string. I also pulled marvin and the prusa logo off of the website. I still have the same issue of under extrusion. What am I missing?Prusa troubleshooting

I fixed the issue I feel like such an idiot..... my fan was backwards and I was getting some major heat creep and I was under extruding because the pla was being melted before it was supposed to be.
