Strange calibration failure behavior
My MK2s suddenly stopped working two days ago with "bed leveling failed, sensor disconnect or cable broken. waiting for reset". I checked the cable and they seems normal. Doing "home" worked without issue. I tested PINDA (using metal and check if endstops = 1).
When I tried to do XYZ calibration, it failed on 4-point calibration with different errors for something like, "check manual" or "can't find calibration point". It's very strange that front point seems to be ok, for each later points Z goes up a bit and it seems to skip finding some of the calibration points. I tried to calibrate many times and only one time it was success (with screw 0f 0.02) was when I have my laptop with serial session open.
Here I attached video of Z calibration:
Any advice how I can troubleshoot this? Is this the issue with Rambo board? How do isolate the problem?
RE: Strange calibration failure behavior
You might have a broken cable in the extruder bundle. You could try positioning the extruder low and to the middle of the bed, and monitor the PINDA state on the LCD ... verify it toggles when the light goes on-off when you pass a screw driver past the PINDA tip.
RE: Strange calibration failure behavior
Thank you! That was it. The disconnect seems to happen in the middle of the cable length and not at the ends.
