Problems with "pause print"
3 1/2 hours into a 10 hour print I had to pause the print for about 30 seconds. After I pressed "Resume print" the LCD displayed "heating" and the bed temp stayed close to the required temp but the nozzle temp went down. When it reached 45° I aborted the print.
What might be the reason? Or did I I stop printing too early? I don't see any logic in the temp going down just to heat up the nozzle again.

Re: Problems with "pause print"
Thanks for your help. I'll try that.
Re: Problems with "pause print"
I think i never manage to pause at least from octoprint.
What i suspect is the printer assume the noozle is cold before the resume. If you resume too early, it doesn't work, the printer wait for printing temp but the target is 0. You could try next time to manually set the noozle temp to printing temp after a resume. I never tried as i don't want to spend time and filament for a test.
Re: Problems with "pause print"
It's a bit late - but I innocently ran into the same problem. Yes, your workaround worked for me:
- pause print
- preheat
- resume print
Unfortunately, it didn't solve my original problem: after a colour change, the printer was extruding about 4 cm of material in midair before resuming the actual print. It did the same after I removed that dangle during pause when resuming 😕
Re: Problems with "pause print"
Hi Markus,
your problem with the dangly bits, has a simple cure... 😉
when a change filament command (M600) occurs, the heatbed goes to the back and the extruder goes to the right... you remove the filament and re insert the new filament, press the button and the new filament starts to extrude... There is a temptation to remove the waste, at this stage... RESIST the Temptation!
the LCD asks if the colour is Clear.... if it is clear, grab the waste with your long nose pliers, then answer yes... the extruder then squirts out a little more waste before returning to the print. As you are holding on to the waste, the extruder will move back to the print, and tear the waste off, including the latest squirt of filament. problem solved!

Re: Problems with "pause print"
i have exactly the same issue. it tries to re-heat to 0 degrees celcius whe resuming from a pause. If you reheat manually so it continues, it will continue printing in midair instead of going down to resume.
