Print Always Shifting

Hi, I just got a Prusa Mini (semi assembled) in the weekend. I've been trying all week to get something to print to 100% but it seems no matter what settings it's on, the print will always shift. I've tried everything I can think of, adjusting nozzle height, heat temp, making a bigger brim, even glue on the bed etc. The mostc successful print I got was a benchy to 92% (it got caught on the chimney)... Not sure what else I can change to get it to print anything fully 🙁 Any suggestions please

RE: Print Always Shifting

It is mechanical.

  1. Check the grub screws
  2. Check your belt tension
  3. Lubricate your bearings - it should be smooth on the X and Y axis
  4. Check your wiring bundle on the back
  5. Make sure the bed is not hitting anything

One clue is which direction the shit is occurring - X or Y.

We checked all that and finally managed to print the benchy to 100%! But it's first layer is absolute rubbish, we can't even read the text. And every print we've done afterwards won't even get to 10%... really not sure what's going on here. The first layer calibration looks perfect to me..

RE: Print Always Shifting

As soon as the print starts go to Tune -> Mode and ensure it is high power.  I wouldn't think it would shift so early in a print, but I've had shifts late in prints (worse IMO, lol) when not running in high power mode.  If it is in high power, I'd try printing it slower, set the speed to 70%  or something.  (maybe this is terrible advice - I don't know, I'm new to printing and haven't read much - just know what I know from failed prints and trial and error).
