PETG Issues on Mk2
RE: PETG Issues on Mk2
The drizzle is not really liquid, just not quite solid enough to not extrude from the nozzle. I had issues with it as soon as I switched to PETG, and thought it was a nozzle issue, and on investigation, found that the extruder was leaking between the heat break and the heat block, and had sealed itself with PLA, which seal failed as soon as I used PETG temps. To fix that, I bout a new ESD V6 nozzle, heat block, heat break, heater element, and temp sensor, and replaced them These issues are after that replacement.
Nominal Temp for “generic PET” in PrusaSlicer is 240°/90°. I tried it down to 230°, which is the minimum listed on the roll of Overture PETG I bought, and it helped with the drizzle, but then it didn’t want to stick to the bed.
I also tried Prusament PETG, with the Prusa default settings in the slicer for that, with essentially similar results. Also, the finer I set the detail level, the worse the problems get.
And I’m not sure what connection the 1st layer issues have (or don’t have) to the rest of it.
