mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
had my printer up and running the past few months, but recently experiencing some weird issues, when ever the printer starts the mesh bed leveling before the printing starts. the y axis would run perfectly at the first three points but when it goes to the second row, the y axis grinds.
some background information: i am running IGUS RJ4JP-01-08 in my y axis and using a y axis bearing clips to secure them (been in use for two months)
had no issues with this set up until recently. my calibration for xyz are perpendicular .
here is a video of my issue:
i'm not sure where to start to fix this issue....
Re: mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
Does it move freely by hand when the printer is off? Does it move freely when using the settings -> move Y option?
Did you check the Y motor connector cable? Some are badly crimped and will make false contact.
Re: mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
Sounds like your bed is getting snagged on something causing the y-stepper to skip steps. This results in the pinda not being able to find the target in the bed. Look closely for a screw head or tie wrap that may be hitting the frame.

i can move freely by hand when the printer is off. and it move freely when u move it under the move y option.
i will check later on the y motor connector. im so puzzle on what causing this issue ❓
Re: mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
also check the cable harness from the printbed and the extruder carriage. they shouldn't interfere, regardless of the carriage position !

Re: mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
Check the Y belt pulley is not touching the motor body.
You may need to move the pulley to the left and the motor to the right (from the front).

Re: mesh bed leveling fail- y axis grind
Sounds and looks to me like the y axis starts resonating and binds.
