i3 -> i3 MK2

hi community,
just a short question: are the y-carriages from the i3 and i3 MK2 identical ?
or does the upgrade kit provide a new carriage (couldn find it listed in the parts of the upgrade at the shop) ?

Yes, the Y chassis and frame are pretty much identical, but the chassis has different orientation and the printed parts are different.

thanks peter.
do you mean with "the chassis has different orientation", that the extruder carriage is the other way round (fans at the rear, nozzle at the front) ?
or are there other issues ?

Re: i3 -> i3 MK2

No; the Y carriage is turned 180 degrees (2-1 bearings becomes 1-2 bearings). Nothing to do with the Extruder/X carriage (you asked about Y)
