Volcano Profiles?

After breaking the heater wires on the 2.5s, I thought it might be a fun tinker to try an E3d Volcano Eruption pack for the minimal extra cost.

Does anyone have a decent set of starting profiles for Prusa Slicer? in 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2? I'm sure I can figure them out myself, but someone much wiser and knowledgeable must have been here before me?

RE: Volcano Profiles?

You'll need to do some PINDA adjustments and firmware tweaks to accomodate the longer dimensions of the Volcano block. I found that simply mounting 3D Solex Matchless nozzles to my stock Mk3 with E3D V6 hotend gives me nearly the throughput of a Volcano with no hardware or software changes (other than settings) necessary.

So far as PrusaSlicer profiles, the biggest change is in the throughput of the Volcano versus the V6. I've done my own set of calibrations for PrusaSlicer on my Artillery Sidewinder with a Volcano hotend. I've posted some notes here that might be useful. I've got profiles for different nozzles sizes on the Mk3 with V6 here. The rest of my settings are essentially unchanged. Just update the profile Maximum volumetric speed setting to match your new Volcano values and you should be all set.

RE: Volcano Profiles?

If anyone wants here's the older e3D Volcano hotend (not the super Volcano) fan redesigned for the currently latest (R5) version of the I3S holder.
