Prusa i3 MK2.5 y axis upgrade
Somehow this upgrade got buried in my original thread, so i'm posting it here to keep it better accessible:
These are custom MK3 style y axis ends for my fresh upgraded Prusa i3 MK2.5. It's super stiff so it won't bend by the tension of the y belt. Best printed in PETG with 20% infill.

Nice idea !
I would recommend to print it in much stronger material, for example PC.

Hey Thomas,
I would love to give it a try. Really need to get some printing experience with that material. Any brand that you can recommend?

Polymaker PC Plus
If not available, try PC Max, it's a little bit easier to print, but not so strong.
But, in general, all PC should be work.

Re: Prusa i3 MK2.5 y axis upgrade
Is there any reason this wouldn't work on a MK2S?
Edit: Nevermind. I just read the Thingiverse description. "Prusa i3 MK2(S) & MK2.5 y axis upgrade". 😀
Re: Prusa i3 MK2.5 y axis upgrade
I printed it in PETG with 30% infill and 6 perimeters. It makes my MK2S look all fancy. 😀
Now if those pesky 2.5 and MMU upgrade kits would ship...
Re: Prusa i3 MK2.5 y axis upgrade
I printed them too, in PETG. There is enough filament on the roll you get in the mk 2.5 upgrade kit to do this as well as the part required for the kit.
just incase anyone was wondering 😉

Printed with ABS T orange from Prusa
it fits but there is no way of adjusting, just to know that

RE: Prusa i3 MK2.5 y axis upgrade
I did this mod soon after you first posted it, and it has stayed from original MK2S build, through MK2.5 to MK2.5S upgrades on one of my printers.
Awesome.
I used the small roll of Black PETG which came with one of the Prusa upgrade kits. Never had a problem. Never needed to make any adjustments.
