BEAR Upgrade from Github
I have been looking at this upgrade for my Mk2.5 and it appears to provide a stronger frame similar to the Mk3. The upgrade is available by kit and by individual part ordering. My question is: Has anyone done this upgrade? Is Prusa considering offering such an upgrade? What comments does the community or prusa have on this upgrade? ❓

I have a bear-upgraded MK3 and I am very pleased with it. It is considerably stiffer than the stock frame. I just completed the upgrade this past week and I will be doing test prints within the next week

That looks very nice, but are you planing to get the mmu2.0 and making it fit with your unit? as your post is under the mk3/mk2.5 mmu branch of the fourms. I like the colour of your printed parts.

Based on my experience with MK2S/MK3 there are no issues with the original frame. I printed small parts but also full size parts. I can't see a difference on the 200mm wall between first layer and last layer. And it does make sense if you assembled it correctly and didn't bent some parts on purpose.
The X-movement of the extruder is working against the square, one-piece aluminum frame.
The Y-movement of the bed is working against the assembled frame which is laying on the ground and always at the same height.
So the only advantage you're getting with BEAR upgrade is a stiffer Y-movement at the top, but there is no force being applied during a print. So more or less not relevant.
You can also try to print something very tall. You will realize the most variance is coming from the part itself which is being pulled back and forth in the Y-movement. So nothing where better frame will help.

The BEAR upgrade seems similar to others out there (Haribo, Zaribo, etc).
Over the past few years, I've steadily been upgrading my MK2s printer ----> HariboMK2 ----> HariboMK2.5 ---->HariboMK2.5s (still a work in progress 😀 )
In truth, Even now with the "more rigid" Haribo frame and MK2.5s upgrades, I don't think my printer prints any better than when it was first built as an MK2s. Yes, there are several nice "usability improvements", but in terms of print quality......it's marginal at best.
For me, the Haribo upgrade was something I did to set my printer apart from others.
TLDR; the BEAR upgrade will likely print no better than a properly assembled and calibrated MK2s

I have the MK3 BEAR update and a standard mk2.5 framework and I can not see the new one print better than the previous one. Now, sometimes, I think I should have taken the standard MK3, so all the updates and changes could apply to the printer without any modification. But, both print very well.

There is one important advantage that matters for mk2.5 based printers. The bear frame won't wrap while standing on uneven surfaces. You won't notice this on the standard frame as it's compensated by the automatic bed leveling but it will affect the geometry of your print. Makes sense?

I did the bear upgrade to my Mk2s, now a 2.5. It is a huge improvement over the Mk2 threaded rod frame. A mk3? probably not worth it.

I have also tried to upgrade, but this feature seems unavailable from my location, phoenix Possibly, I am following the wrong link or do something wrong. Who can help me with this? I will always try to get it through the VPN service. But I am not sure it will work this way. But I will like to hear your thoughts.
