Apply PEI sticker sheet to textured spring steel print sheet?
I am upgrading my i3 MK2 to the newer MK2.5S version. I ordered the upgrade kit with a textured spring steel print sheet. I still have a couple of replacement PEI sticker sheets from my old MK2. Would it work for me to stick a PEI sheet to one side of the spring steel print sheet so I can have the option to print with a smooth or textured bed? Seems like this should work since the description of the smooth spring steel sheet seems to indicate it also uses PEI stickers for its smooth surfaces. The only problem I can think of is that the PEI sticker sheet might not stick to the textured print sheet because it is already coated with PEI... But probably worth a try if it won't permanently mess up the steel sheet.
Anyone have any experience doing this?

I would not attempt to install a smooth PEI sheet on top of a powder-coated textured sheet. Those PEI sheets are intended to be applied to a perfectly smooth bare build plate and the surface of the textured plate is much too rough to work properly.
If cost is an object, they often have so-called 'factory second' smooth plates in stock, and I can vouch that these print just as well as 'factory first' ones do.
There are also some alternate-source PEI smooth build plates out there going for less than the Prusa branded ones.

Oh, just be aware, FYSETC sheets only come with the PEI surface on one side.
