Smooth bottom surface

Hello,

So, not a whole lot of experience in 3d printing but I was not able to find my problem online yet.

I want to print a platform that I designed in Fusion. It comes out really good except for the bottom service which is not ''smooth'' and flat.
Please see the attachment which will illustrate this issue. (scroll down to see all photos) Images Prusa forum

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

RE: Smooth bottom surface

You could deactivate "Don't support bridges" and lower the "Contact Z distance". Both are advanced settings. But you will not get a supported face as clean as a top one.

@lichtjaeger

It helped a little but far from perfect..
Is there an other way to get this clean face like sand it afterwards or treat it with wax or clue component? Or idn, even melt the bottom face carefully so we get a 1 even plane face.... There must be a way right?

@cat6a

Looking at the picture it seems that you could try to print it by rotating it 90˚. The side that is facing back in the first picture seems straight and flat enough to be positioned on printbed.
