Prusament PETG Filament - What Color blends in with Sanding
I am making faceshields for my family and friends in the medical field for free. I am customizing the design for each person's needs (ex. flip, lighter, initials, etc...). I am about to order more petg and I have found Prusament to be much better quality than what I find for similar price on amazon.
Although Prusa i3 Mk2.5S prints very well without tweaks as I am an beginner, I still need to sand lightly the surface (minor bumps) and edges sharpness. When I was using PLA, the natural or white color looked the best after sanding b/c the marks from the sanding does not show up. I was wondering if the same is for PETG and Prusament. Should I get a white or clear? Or are their material better quality that sanding on darker filament will still look very good? Customer support couldn't tell me.

As you've found PETG will sand nicely, Orange (which I guess you wouldn't use for a face mask anyway) looks kinda grey after sanding. I use a sharp blade at right angles to scrape off PETG "boogers" and to remove that last little bit of brim.
