random layer shifts, both X and Y

I'm getting random layer shifts, on both X and Y axis.

Pulleys are fine, grub screws are fine, belts are fine, many prints are fine. Printing mostly in PLA. Not very complex prints, so no overhangs with snags or anything like that.

X shift seems to be around 1.27mm always, Y shift around 0.84mm always.

Anyone have any idea?

It feels like a missed pulse to the steppers or the steppers didn't get enough power. Do the numbers above correspond to something like a number of pulses to the steppers (a full step or a microstep)? It's at least much less than one cog on the belt.

Can't seem to be able to delete the post. It was meant to go into the MK3(S) forum.

Have you cleaned and lubricated your smooth rods?

Cheerio,

Yep. Everything moves easy if I power off the printer.
