Random Color switches

I'm not sure if this is a problem with my printer or Slic3r. The prusa stops printing to do a color switch multiple time w/o me asking for a switch. I've seen this happen off and on and up until now it's only been a nuisance. Now I have a design that I basically can't print. I can only get 4mm height in the print and already have 10 color switches, but I haven't asked for any. I've tried reprinting, and tried several different SD cards. I've also generated the gcode on 2 separate computers. Same results. I haven't tried it enough to notice if it happens at the same points every time. This print seems to send the printer in a funk.

Prusa i3 mk3 firmware: 3.7.0-2201
slic3r 1.41.2 final
slic3r 1.42.0 beta

Re: Random Color switches

You may have entered the color change events by mistake in the slic3r 1.42.0-beta at the layer view when dragging the layer slider.

Re: Random Color switches

The problem also happens on Slic3r 1.41.2 final that doesn't even have color switch. Slic3r 1.41.2 has been my go-to app because I like the visual rendering of the layers a lot better than the new slic3r 1.42.

Slic3r support suggested that I try disabling the filament sensor. I'm going to try that, but I'm at work and it'll be 10 hours before I can try it.

Thanks!

Re: Random Color switches

It's the filament sensor . Once I disable the sensor, it prints just fine

Thanks
