Print Fan Sets Its Own Speed
I have an i3 Mk2s-> i3 Mk2.5 + Bondtech Hotend Upgrade. Yes, I did update the e-step of the extruder.
The problem always starts a few layers into the print (5-10 layers.)
The first time I had issues with this printer the print fan and the speed setting adjusted itself. After the first instance of the problem only the print fan setting adjusted itself. It always sets the fan speed to 255.
My first remedy was to adjust the fan speed to zero and adjust the speed back to 100%.
The same problem recurred a few times.
My next attempt to fix was to reflash the firmware.
Problem recurred.
I then hit the reset button in the software, reflashed the firmware.
Problem recurred.
Thought maybe it's my slicer. I use Simplify3D.
Reset settings in Simplify3D.
Problem recurred.
Downloaded new version of Simplify3D, reacquired default settings.
Problem recurred.
Tried a new slicer, Slicer PE from Prusa.
Problem recurred.
Checked the continuity of the Print Fan cable. All good.
Unplugged and replugged all the cables.
Problem recurred.
I'm out of ideas.
Is the Rambo broken?

Are you sure it'snot just doing bridging prior to top solid infill?
A picture of/link to the part and an indication of what layer the problem happens at would be most informative...

Any picture of the problem looks like an aborted print very early on.
I just tested it with Slicer PE. The fan kicks on at the start of layer two. Print fan setting is always at 255.
The print fan kicks on the highest setting and the heater can't keep up. Then the print fails at a thermal runaway error.
I don't know what "bridging prior to top solid infill" means but I don't think that's it since it kicks the print fan at layer 2.
