Occasional Mini Temp Bed Error

I have an I3 Mk2.5S. I can print fine with it but I need to sit and monitor the Bed Temperature as it will begin to drop slowly every once in a while. If I wiggle the bed cables, the temp usually comes back up. I took the bed connection cover apart and discovered the Thermistor wire was pinched under the cover middle screw. The wire isn't broken, but I can see the conductor. I wrapped it with electrical tape and reassembled but still get this bed temp error. Would this cause this type of error? If I print something and leave the printer alone, I almost inevitably will fault on a bed temp runaway. Oh, and the heater wire connections look great and are nice and tight.

Thanks! Michael

**UPDATE**

I removed the bed and disconnected the heater wires and unplugged the Thermistor from the Motherboard. On the bench with an Ohmmeter connected I was reading around 122 Ohms and I started wiggling the Thermistor wire all down the length. Nothing...! Then I started gently stretching the wire all down the length and about 3" (~75mm) from the bed terminals the meter started rapidly dropping. If I stretched a bit harder...zero Ohms! So, I guess I'll be ordering a new Thermistor kit! Love my Prusa I3 MK2.5S . It's an outstanding and reliable machine! Great prints, trouble free ...normally :).

Thanks for reading!
