object disapearing when slincing

Hi,

I have a problem with Slic3r 1.39.2+linux64
I import a stl made from blender, it's zombies picks for cupcakes, the 3D preview is ok, everithing is there, when I hit the slice now button, some eyes are disappearing and on of the zombies is missing entirely.

Do you know what could cause this issue?

Please attach your pictures to your post. I (and some others) will not navigate to a third-party web site to look at pictures.

Your problems may be that the walls are too thin or the model has errors.

Just like PJR mentioned, it looks like your files contain quite a few errors. For one, the scale seems quite high at least (1000x). You can run it through MeshMixer to fix the errors and set the model size to what you actually need in to be.

Another type of error is that STL files are just collections of triangle shapes forming a mesh. The slicer has to figure out which side of each mesh is inside or outside the solid surface. It makes a starting guess and assigns everything within that space as part of the solid. Everything on the other side of the starting mesh becomes hollow and everything outside that mesh is solid again.

The trouble is that some STL files have an intermediate mesh inside a solid object. One half is treated as solid and the other half becomes hollow even though both are intended to be part of the same solid. Imagine an eye created as a ball shaped mesh placed inside an eye socket. This can form an internal mesh where the two solid objects meet.

I have been getting similar errors in objects that I create using TurboCAD. The solution that seems to work best is to never merge two objects that are touching. I try to overlap them in 3D space before the merge. This seems to reduce the internal mesh. I am using the $99 version of TurboCAD and don't really want to spend another $1500 to upgrade to the professional version that supposedly has a better 3D processor.

You may try the 1.40.0-alpha1, it processes the inconsistent STLs much better.

Yes, the last version is working perfectly, thanks! I guess I had may errors in the stl exported by Blender.
