MK3S Dead

Finally got our MK3S unit working. Had to abandon the MMU as it just never worked after several hours of attempting to tweek it.

The MK3S (with single filament) printed about 4 items over the last week since it's been up. I go to check on the last printed item (a 45 minute print) to find the printer dead with no display. The print job looks about half finished.

Powering down the unit and restarting it shows no signs of life. After about 2 seconds after power on, I get a full screen flash on the display and then nothing.

Checking the power supply, the fuse is good and I am still getting 24V to the unit.

Anyone else experience this.

Not common.  But most likely spot for problems like what you are having is wires touching: especially the bed heater power at the back of the bed heater. Check there to make sure the wires are clear of everything else.  Also, carefully examine the wires from the PS to the Einsy power strip. Loose or touching is bad.

If not these easy to check items, I suggest you contact Prusa support via CHAT and allow them to help diagnose the issue.  Probably under warranty and users here can't help with that.

Well....after reading tim-m30's response I went and checked the heatbed cables on the heatbed. They were still tight and I did not suspect any issues.

I then opened up the RAMBO case and checked where the heatbed cables connected to the RAMBO board....and low and behold the cables were loose....really loose.

A few turns of a screwdriver and the unit is functioning again.

Thanks.
