mk2s rambo fried after 2.5 upgrade -- what rambo to buy?

Hi all,

I got everything assembled and going with the 2.5 upgrade on our Mk 2, calibration and first prints looked solid but we noticed this pervasive burned electronics smell and the bed wouldn't shut off.

Turns out we had a MOSFET violently die taking a good of the PCB with it. It's completely beyond repair. Surprisingly the printer works fine and only the heat bed power itself was affected, but that mini-RAMBO will have to be replaced.

My leaning is to buy another mk2 mini-rambo, but my coworker thought maybe since we've installed all this 2.5 stuff the mk3's mini-rambo would be the way to go.

Any thoughts from the forum?

Well after a few days and no answers, my coworker managed to confirm my thoughts through another avenue. If anyone else is curious, the answer is get the Mini-RAMBO for the Mk2s. The Mk3 is a 24 volt part, where the Mk2 is a 12 volt part. The two are not interchangeable, even with the Mk 2.5 upgrade kit.
