Mk2.5 Firmware 3.3.1 loud beep

I downloaded the Prusa 2.1.8 package along with the 3.3.1 firmware for my Prusa Mk2.5. After upgrading Slic3r, I tried updating the firmware on my printer using the tool in Slic3r.

At the end of the update the printer started making a loud beeping noise and the display was full of square blocks. I assumed that there was a corruption in the firmware file so I downloaded the file again (double checking it was the correct file). I got the beeps again when I updated the firmware.

I went back to firmware 3.1.4 which is what I had on before and the printer is working fine again, but I'd like to go to the latest firmware release.

Does anybody know what is happening?

Rob

Re: Mk2.5 Firmware 3.3.1 loud beep

did you choose the correct version of 3.3.1?

both mk3 and mk2.5 use 3.3,1, but there may be minor differences
for instance my mk3 LCD failed, I tried to use a mk2 LCD but I get immediate TMC Driver overtemp errors, when the mk2 LCD is attached!

Went through the process again and it worked so I think I must have been selecting the incorrect rambo file without realising.

RE: Mk2.5 Firmware 3.3.1 loud beep

I am also having the one long beep issue.  I've tried all the items above.

Can someone help me with a factory reset?  I've seen the "push dial and X" method.  It doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
