got a major jam

Hi together,

this is my second pursa printer first was the mks2 no I got finally my mk3 last week and did some prints with PLA. the first problems with the first layer and so was only 5 minutes a problem because I print daily with my mk2 so I got some experience on that.

so far so good yesterday I got a major midprint jamm

1.I removed the PLA and tried to reload - did not work
2. put the temp to 250 waited 2 mins and tried to reload - did not work
3. put the needle out and tried to make it working - did not work
4. tried to remove the nozzle.... did not work....... f*** that
5. read about remove the ventilator and head up 3-5minutes... did not work

so know I removed the header and found this....

first problem is the angel, this must happen when i dried to remove the nozzel... or in the midprint jamm...
the second problem is the tube are molden, it seems 3-5 minutes on 250 is to much....

could that fixed and when yes how?

THANKS

Daniel

Re: got a major jam

For what it's worth, I'm in the middle of recovering from a failure like yours. I've pretty much given up on saving the hot end assembly and ordered a replacement one. I tried the oven treatment like you did and the molten PLA got into the threads. If you can get the set screw to loosen, then removing the thermistor cartridge to save it as a useful spare for later would be good.

You probably bent the heat break when trying to remove the nozzle, next time you should use one wrench to hold the hot end block while using another wrench to try and remove the nozzle. When I was doing this, I went ahead and partially disassembled the fans on the X carriage for better access to the hot end assembly.
