Firmware bugs?
I have not had any problems generally with my 2.5 for some time, but have noticed the 'bed preheat' error a few times, and have to try again, and sometimes when I print from the SD card the extruder stops after the level check and freezes, while the progress percentage on the display counts up while nothing is happening?
I have to then 'reset' and start again - not a huge problem but annoying!
When I do print I generally slow the printing down to 25% to give the first layer a chance to stick but I'm not sure if that is relevant (I generally always do this and sometimes the printing starts and sometimes it stalls - but the bed levelling alway works)
Anyone else get this?
I am up to date with the firmware, version 3.7.1 (which does include the 'bed preheat fix' that doesn't seem to work? Even though (to me) it appears to be heating up at a reasonable rate - PLA temperatures are reached in 1-2 minutes?)
Anyone else having these issues?
Chris
RE: Firmware bugs?
For me 3.7.1 fixed all my preheat issues. (3.7.0 was almost unusable for me).
When the environment is cold, and the bed idles a bit slightly below the target temperature (e.g. at 59,9 °C instead of 60°C) 3.7.0 gave me way too many errors.
If you have trouble in 3.7.1 I'd better check the cables. Also Octoprint can be useful to see what's actually going on with the temperature.
RE: Firmware bugs?
Thanks - I don't get this during printing, only on the initial 'warm up'
I get a preheat error and after a reset and second attempt everything is fine
The temperature during printing is pretty stable and never causes any errors
(mind you, I wish I hadn't said that now!)
