Control board questions: Rambo 1.2?
Hi all, and thanks in advance for your help,
I love my MK3 S. But I found a few old clone printers for ridiculous prices... average was $35. So I'm in the process of trying to rebuild them into decent machines. (I'm spoiled by Prusa, though. I'm worried this will be a horrible rabbit hole.)
While I have a few boards around that are RAMPS clones to varying degrees of quality, I've seen a few Einsy Rambo 1.2's around, and I'm half tempted. But I don't know enough yet about if they'd work with Prusa firmware or not, or if they'd work with Prusa slicer, or not.
I know that the topic of control boards can be enough of a rabbit hole on its own, so I'm trying to stick close enough what I know that the learning curve will be appropriate.
What did the MK2 and 2.5 use? Would the 1.2 be a good idea, or one of those cases where the temptation of 'close enough' should be ignored?
