MK2.5-MM?

If I want to upgrade my MK2S-MM to a 2.5, is there such a thing as being able to keep the multi-material functionality?
The firmwares appear to say "no", but it would be nice to keep the MM, even though I really want the rest of the 2.5 functionality

Re: MK2.5-MM?

Hi Steve,
officially the answer is NO, however unofficially you can at least update heatbed to the newest version with removable sheet, but the XYZ calibration won't work anymore (not a problem on a calibrated printer). Also you have to stay on MMU 1.0 firmware. Not sure about the fans, the RPM sensing won't work for sure, but you might be able to run Noctua to make your printer quieter.

To answer my own question, it will. Tested talked to Josef and he literally confirmed it.
I know it was nearly impossible they wouldn't, but it's nice to have it confirmed.

He mentions it at 5;54

Hi Steve,
both MK3 and MK2.5 are planned to get MMU 2.0 😉
