mk2-->2s-->2.5
I have looked around the forums and haven't found a clear answer. I have also compared upgrade kit .stls but without actually printing them all and/ or using them all I also can't seem to find an answer.
The question is:
Does anyone know of a condensed upgrade list of parts to print if going from:
Mk2, through 2s and onto 2.5?
Sure the simple answer is to print them all and install each upgrade separately, however in the interest of saving time/ filament and well... time.
It would be nice to have an upgrade print list of the necessary / non-redundant parts if going through both upgrades at the same time.
It appears that the 2.5 supersedes all 2s parts. with the exception of Y-distance.stl?
Re: mk2-->2s-->2.5
I think you are right. Just had a look at the STL files for the MK2 --> MK2S upgrade and as far as I can see all parts are (except the Y-distance) are replaced by the new MK2.5 parts.
Re: mk2-->2s-->2.5
Hi,
yes your assumption is correct, you need to print:
1) MK2.5/MK3 stl files
2) Y-distance for MK2S
Don't forget to change rods, bearings and u-bolts, which are part of the MK2S upgrade.

Re: mk2-->2s-->2.5
I made the same guess, glad to see I was correct. 😀
I printed it anyway before realizing too, but it looks like my MK2 already had the Y-distance piece, so it seems like it's possible that you don't need that one either.
Re: mk2-->2s-->2.5
Also if you're doing this upgrade, don't forget to reattach the X-axis motor and endstop cables. I skipped past the Rambo setup in the MK2S manual because I knew I was using the new 2.5 cover.... but yeah, forgot those were disconnected.
