Had to choose blk/orange parts at order, none shipped

I have a complete MK2S kit completed in Sept of last year. Through a newbie error I damaged the extruder housings by rotating the hot end (yes also took out thermister cable). I saw the upgrade and since I was in the window to get the new buyers discount I did. That was Oct 18, 2017. In the intermediate time I have been told Im not getting the pwdr coated sheet after all . My kit arrived today almost 5 months to the day and lo and behold there are no plastic parts, either black ( that all orders were converted to per Prusa site) or orange. But a spool of PET that I have many of that is equally useless without a functioning extruder......

Prusa's communication with customers with standing orders has been abysmal at best, leaving some of us with a $1000 in Prusa receipts and no functioning machine.

Prusa, can I get the parts I paid for, PLEASE

I am sorry for your situation and would like to offer my help if I can. If you are located in the USA, I will be willing to print out the required MK2.5 upgrade parts in PETG and mail them to you.

Since you mention the discount, I assume you ordered the MK2s to MK2.5 upgrade kit.

As I have always read it, the MK2.5 upgrade provides the mechanical parts and an ABS fan shroud (heat sensitive area) but the other plastic parts are expected to be printed by you on your 'functioning' MK2s using the black PETG roll supplied. The Black/Orange choice was about this roll and they changed it all to black because of Filament Sensor sensitivity concerns.

I realize that your MK2s is non-functioning, hence my offer of help. If you are in another country then perhaps some Forum reader there can step up and provide a similar offer.

Jerry.

They ship the electronic parts you need and only the fan shroud printed in ABS. Everything else should be printed by you. If you are in the UK I can help you print the parts and mail them to you.

Thank you for the offers to print these components. This morning I went to the maker space in Worcester MA and was able to find someone to print them "locally" for me. Again thanks for the offers , they are much appreciated.

We are glad it worked out. One thing you should do as soon as you get your printer functional again is to print one each of every printed part using the PETG spool provided. Aside from wear and tear, newbie or oldie, accidents can always happen.

Enjoy. Jerry.

Go here https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/ and you'll find both stls and gcodes for the upgraded parts needed.

only odd thing is the rambo case gcode has R2 but STL's and github have R1... maybe not a major difference but FYI. use gcode i guess....

Very glad to hear that you were able to get some help.

Like you, I was startled when I got my upgrade kit (after about 6 months) to find that the promised "Printed parts (Orange)" were not included. Also like you, my printer had been offline for some time due to problems and I was waiting for the upgrade kit to solve these. A friend was able to print PLA parts for me as a starter, but I've not been able to successfully get the extruder parts printed successfully on my assembled Mk2.5 with either PET (provided) or PETG filaments. Under-extrusion is the current issue there.

My point is, I hear your original frustration with the Prusa customer communications. The response to my note to them amounted to "we told you this was happening". With all the noise made about the PEI printing surface change, the other substitutions didn't register (I guess). FWIW, the invoice states that I'd receive printed parts - which is not what was delivered.
