Upgrading my printer from MK2 to MK2.5 with MMU2
Hello,
I have a Prusa MK2 (never bought the S) and a MMU 1 that I never installed for different reasons (time and got scared of issues I read on forum mostly).
Now, I decided to buy the upgrades for 2.5 (S?) and also the MMU2 since it seems to be much simpler to use and less error prone.
I've bought the three following kits and just received info that they were shipped (yay!):
Now to the question… how should I do the upgrade? Should I first do the whole process for MK2 to MK2S, install the MMU 1, then do the MK2S to MK2.5 and MMU2 upgrade guide? Are there ways to cut corners ?
Thanks!

Hello Gimly,
Very interesting that you never tried MMU1 but feel comfortable with MMU2. You will find not less complains about it 😉
Building MK2.5(s) and adding MMU2(s) later is additional work. At the end it highly depends if you really want to print MMU2 most or is it just to try it out. MMU2 on any machine means more complexity and more/different issues.

Well, I'm also more comfortable today with 3D printing in general. When I bought the first MMU it was my first steps into 3D printing and it was a poor decision to buy it anyway. Now I have use cases where I want to use the MMU, so that's why I bought the second one.
