MK2.5s assembly

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping I could get advice on how to best approach a full rebuild of my MK2.5s.

I have parts of my extruder that is warped etc and would like to to tear it all down and start again with parts printed on my mk3. As the MK2.5s is solely a "upgrade" kit build there is no assembly instructions etc.

Can anyone advise how best to go about this?

Apologies if I'm missing something, haven't thought of something simple or missed a forum post.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Upgrade manual is good enough, just skip the parts about dissasembling MK2S and go through parts of assembling MK2.5, but backwards.

It is not perfect, as MK2.5S has some newer parts, so you should maybe use or at least crosscheck with MK2.5 to MK2.5S upgrade manual. Also MK2.5S is identical to MK3S in the extruder part. So to dissasemble and assemble extruder, you can also follow MK3S manual. Just the section about connecting the electronics will be different. That part take definitelly from MK2.5 to MK2.5S upgrade manual.

If you have a second printer, you are on save side, you will not realize, that you forgot to print some part after dissasembly.

New MK3S+ should have got some improvements in extruder as well, so I would consider printing this new version instead. But I have not yet tried.

RE: MK2.5s assembly

The Mk2.5S has ONE difference in the extruder, to the Mk3S version, there is a small buffer block on the left hand side whick operates the X axis limit switch. the mk3 does not have this and the mk3S will not have this....

I suspect the mk2.5S buffer block will fit the Mk3+ extruder, but I have never tried
