Issues with 2.5 upgrade
Just wanted to post about my experiences with the 2.5 upgrade. Printing the parts with the supplied gcode was very successful. No issues with the disassembly and rebuild.
My problems started after I flashed the firmware. Self test passed fine, then it failed to find the 3rd sensor point (rear right). Suspecting a high PINDA I lowered it and retested it a few times without success. A search on the forums suggested my machine may not be square.
After hours of adjusting the frame and carefully measuring against the diagram, with different sensor points failing, the printer got through all four sensor points, but would then fail with "consult manual".
Hoping the 3.2.0 beta firmware might contain some fixes I installed that but with the same problems. I put the 3.14 back on and it passed. Everything else worked ok after that. I'm now concerned that when I have to recalibrate in the future it'll fail again.
I wonder now if I have a faulty PINDA, with an intermittent issue. It seems to be on a lot, such as when the printer is cooling after a finished print, the light on the PINDA remains on. Also at times when it is over a sensor it whines. The video shows this. Should I contact Prusa about a replacement?

I am having the same issue with the 3rd calibration point in the Wizard.
I've tried adjusting PINDA with no success. I guess I will keep making adjustments and hope I find that sweet spot.
I think they need to relax on the tolerances a bit in that spot if its this difficult to calibrate.

Wrote to Prusa, got a reply to try Firmware 3.2.0-RC1.461......
Downloaded and installed, now it usually finds calibration points 1, 2 and 3 but has never found 4.
I have written to the to advise fix was an improvement but still not able to complete the self tests.
I am awaiting a reply and probably another version of the firmware. Hope it is fixed soon as I am suffering 3D printing witdrawal symptoms (Ha Ha).
As a retired IT person I realise it may only take short time to fix after the real problem is identified. Fiding the problem is the challenge.

They changed the calibration algorithm, it's already known to have issues now with some people. why, no idea. but if it works, dont. fix. it. shaving 1-2 minutes off something you do one time isn't really a priority, especially if it worked fine before.

Hi i have the same problem with point 4.
The calibration runs to point 4 seams to find it like the others and I see that the pinda is on top of the poiint but then in the Display it show :
XYZ calibration failed. Please consult the manual.
Before the upgrade my calibration was perfect.
I thested the FW 3.1.4-RC1 firmware for Prusa i3 MK2.5 but nothing chaned.
Anny sugestions ?

Try to enable "Power" mode, not "Silent". For me it worked with 3.2.0 Final (available on Github).

roman thx for the tip. With the firmware and powermode I got my printer calibrated. Now after 5 days I can start my first print 🙂

I've got the same problem with the calibration on the third point, running in power mode doesn't fix it for me. I have the latest 3.2.0 Firmware installed. Running the calibration with Pronterface showed this:

Try loosening the X and Y belts *slightly* and see if it makes a difference.

Tried loosening the belts, made no difference. BUT I've installed firmware 3.1.3 and the calibration completed just fine. My Prusa is now back in business and printing. So this is a software related problem... I'm sticking with the old firmware and the old calibration process for now.

Repeated calibration failures (detailed here https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting-f62/xyz-calibration-looks-like-it-finds-all-4-points-b-t18472.html ) are now completely resolved with the 3.2.1 firmware.
And thanks to the Prusa devs for resolving this and making my lump of metal and plastic into a printer again!
