Hotend Thermistor Issue or Nozzle Fan?

I have a I3 MK2.5S and I just changed out the Hotend Thermistor because of a broken wire somewhere along the harness. I've started my first print since changing it out and at about 20% along with temp set point of 210 (PLA) the temp started slowly dropping. In about 1 minute it dropped to 197. I put a piece of paper with a hole over the nozzle fan, so some air could flow through the fan, over the intake. Slowly the temp started rising and eventually returned to 210. I've since left the paper over the fan intake as when I remove it the temp slowly begins to drop again. Is the nozzle getting too much air? That's the only conclusion I've been able to come up with. Anyone else had this issue and how have you solved it?

Thanks for reading, Michael

You have to reduce fan speed. This can be regulated in PrusaSlicer in filament settings.

Thank you so much! I normally don't use these advanced settings so I was unaware of this feature. I will check this out next time I need to print something. Thank you!

To access all parameters, you must switch to expert mode in Prusaslicer.

RE: Hotend Thermistor Issue or Nozzle Fan?

well I started my first print today with my nozzle fan speeds reset to min: 70% and max: 90%. About 75% of the way through the print I got a Thermal Runaway error. I'm guessing I don't yet have the fan settings right. I wasn't watching the printer so I don't know what the nozzle temps were doing. Is that the right settings, 70% and 90% or should I change that to something like 50% and 70%? HELP!
