Making base of a file thicker.

I'm trying to modify an .stl file so that the bottom layer isn't the only layer.  It has one layer (it's supposed to be translucent) but I want it to be thicker as I'm trying to turn the file into a magnet.  I've searched all over but haven't been able to figure out how to do that.  I did find in "modifiers" what looked like I could change it there but I tried changing that to 4 from 2 and that didn't work.    I'm using a 2 head Prusa XL.

RE: Making base of a file thicker.

Could you please upload the file (zip first), so we can see what you want.
As I understand you now have an Stl with 1 layer.
And you want to have it, more layers?
If correct, in PrusaSlicer select the stl, Go to the sideview (simply press 3). Choose scaling and scale in Z-direction (by pulling the connector in the middle on top upward).

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.

RE: Making base of a file thicker.

I tried to upload the .stl file but got a notification that I couldn't upload that type of file.  I tried to follow your directions and I had no idea that you could put something on it's side (or wherever) by hitting a number!  I was able to make it thicker but now I have no idea how to get it back in the "normal" position sitting on the plate.  Perhaps hitting another number?  I'm sorry, I know I'm a novice but it seems I'm even more of a novice than I originally thought. 😮   See included picture and the white part (main background) is only 1 layer to make it translucent with the intent of it being used with a light behind it.   I want it thicker because I would like to make a magnet with it.  With your instructions, would I be able to increase the thickness at other points (layers) in the file?  I appreciate any help you can give me.
