Z height too low on textured sheet

We are running a new XL using PETG on textured sheets. A few prints in and we noticed that the bed had stuck on filament in a super thin layer from the last print. The next print attempted failed because the extruder was skipping. restarted the print, and although it’s printing, the Z height still seems to low as the first layer has multiple blobs and noticeable ridges between the layer lines. Cleaned the nozzle and bed, reset the printer between attempts. Any other suggestions?

No suggestions but watching this thread with interest as I have the opposite problem on my XL (and Mk4). Unless I manually adjust live Z during the first layer I tend to have adhesion issues with the textured sheet.

Saw you on r/PrusaXL.  Weird I replied to that first then came here and saw this.  Anyways.  Print bed bent?

Doesn’t seem to be… the prints are acting like the Z height is uniformly too low.

After reset, the successive prints were globbing up like the Z was still too low.

Probably an obvious solution, but did you make sure the nozzle was cleaned well? Heard that filament on it could affect the sensor.
