Failed Layers Near Top Of Build Volume When Printing PETG

Well, I'm about at my wit's end.

Like the title says, I have failed prints due to missing/incomplete layers near the top of the build volume when printing in PETG.

I've tried to re-slice various prints, place them at different areas on the print bed, but all that does is move the failed layer higher or lower.

It's almost like it just stops feeding filament and then either halfway through the layer or on the next layer it starts printing again.  I can post pics, but trying to get out the door to work right now.

Here's what it looks like. (don't mind the skewed print sheet, this is after I yanked the print off the bed in disgust)
