Where are you putting yours?
So I’ve been doing some thinking. We know we need 775 mm / 30.5 in. (d) for cables and such. I’m guessing the distance between the feet is going to be roughly around 24 inches from this image.
Which leads me to ask, where are you putting yours? I’d like to get a nice heavy duty rack but many of them seem to be right at the limit, and I certainly don’t want it to be teetering on the edge. I was hoping to find something with at least a 36 in depth, but haven’t had much luck with anything that looks up to the task and is stable. Outside of building something custom, does anyone have a a good rack in mind? (Preferably US available.)

RE: Where are you putting yours?
I am building a custom table that house this printer, and my Vorons, and my Creality CR10S pro.

RE: Where are you putting yours?
I have a workbench I bought a while back that is 25" deep. It looks like the XL will fit on it with room to spare as far as the feet are concerned, but the printer itself will be hanging over slightly. I'm not interested in replacing my workbench, since it was a few hundred dollars and is otherwise perfect for my area.

I haven't found anything that gives the dimension for the feet, but I agree the feet should fit.

RE: Where are you putting yours?
Since this is a sizable investment I built my own workbench with a top of 32" x 60" (replacing the bench where my current MK3S sits.
Have you considered using a workbench top of laminated wood. IE from Grizzly? Yes amazon has those as well.
RE: Where are you putting yours?
What did you come up with in the end? I’m considering placing mine in a cupboard which has a depth of 670mm.
The printer will fit but the cables at the back are not going to have much room. It’ll work I believe (which an online chat with support confirmed) but it’s not ideal for long term use as it’ll cause more stress on the cables.
The platform on which the printer will sit I was going to build out of 2x4, and Kay stone slabs on top… or I was considering using box steel.

Grizzly sells this 36x60 table top:

I've also had local carpenters, wood shops, or cabinet makers make something to my design.
RE: Where are you putting yours?
That is a nice table top, but $200 freight for a $260 table top? Ouch! 😁

Home Depot sells them as well or find a local cabinet maker or carpenter who can make a custom size for you. Be sitting down when you get the price for a custom design.

I built a desk by putting Ikea lagkapten tabletops in an L shape on top of Alex drawers and Adils legs, then joining them by using adils brackets. I have the XL in the corner. It just fits.

I ended up going the cheap but decent-ish route with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BRPR2P6D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .
The XL fits at one end while there's enough room for a MK4 on a paver on the other end. Power outlets on the table are a nice touch.
Hoping for an enclosure that hugs it on the 3 open sides with a top though!
RE: Where are you putting yours?
I built a 4’ x 8’ two tier table that has a surface at 8 inches above the ground and 4 feet. I currently have a space for my XL, my CR10 S Pro, Anycubic Chiron, ender-3, and 3 Bambu Labs printers.

RE: Where are you putting yours?
Patiently 🙄 waiting for the 5 head kit. Might switch to assembled if looks like will hurry thinks up? For now my Mk3s+ is keeping my new XL table warm. Slightly overengineered but gone with a Kreg router table which is a good height for me and top size 508x711mm seems perfect fit for the XL and the small room. Cast a 30mm concrete top (Printed formwork of course) which sits on 30 duro sorbothane strip to the Kreg base... I tried with foam but was surprisingly noisy. Sorbothane makes it really quiet... amazing change
Next project if my XL arrives will be to figure an enclosure... or wait for Prusa's
RE: Where are you putting yours?
I am putting in my bedroom. I have a large low chest of drawers about waist height. I have added a 6 ply sheet the size of the xl base so it comfortably sit on the drawers top although it is just a bit narrower than the xl width. All good. The only issue I have is I need swap the spool holder to the other side since the left hand side will be hard up against the wall so I research undoing the filament guide and swapping it to the other side. I am just going to contact the helpdesk to make how to control which direction the filament feed draws filament, is it controlled by a firmware setting or if I have to install it upside down. Argh the joys of doing small but essentials mods.

This is what I'm planning to do. Got an old solid wood IKEA table I can mod.
RE: Where are you putting yours?
Does anyone have the outer dimensions of the foot pad spacing
RE: Where are you putting yours?
Assuming their size diagram is to scale, I rekon that the foot pads are about 495mm apart (centers), perhaps 515 total front to back).
Does anyone have the outer dimensions of the foot pad spacing
RE: Where are you putting yours?
A clarification.
I got my Nextruder and filament sensor confused as which one does the filament pulling. The filament sensor is just a filament out sensor and has no internal pulling wheels. Al good when my XL arrives I will place it on my chest of drawers a place my filament dry box behind my XL and feed the filament up to my nextruder via the guide tubes, and happily print lots of objects.
