Made final payment a few days after receiving the email saying I could pay (was working away).

@guyh what did you order, and what was your order confirmation time? Prusa hasn't update the shipping tables for the XL in several weeks, curious where they are in the queue. Thanks.

I received my email on Oct 16th, paid and my XL 5 head been shipped Oct 19th.

Nice to hear from Prusa's efforts. So every pre-order could be switched to an order starting October 23th. So I will have to pay in advance the full price and still have to wait several months to receive the printer? As far as I understood the article, we will get a more detailed shipping table, if all the pre-orders are either switched to orders, cancelled or the two weeks waiting time are over. So more detailed info should arrive about mid November.

Haven't seen the email yet still (now the 24th of Oct. in Prauge, so there's the second date they've missed related to the XL in the last 2 weeks 😀 ), but I was able to check my order page on the Prusa store and my order was ready to be finalized so I've gone through and done that.

My timeline for the 5 toolhead:
- order placed: 2021-11-29
- email received: 2023-10-23
- order completed/finalised: 2023-10-25
- wiretransfer: 2023-10-25

does anyone know if they solved the stringing problem reported on the 5 head machines
or is it recomended to use on multicolour a 0,4 instead a 0,6 nozzle?
And what the hell is the difference between
E3D V6 Düse aus gehärtetem Stahl 0.4 mm and
Düse X E3D V6
and between Prusa Nozzle ObXidian or Der Olsson Ruby ??
my idea was using standard 0,6 on one of the 5 head
a hardened 04 on other and so on. what would you recomend?

They said they will implement soon Z-hop ramping to combat this issue and it will be available in a few weeks. So, soon there will be a solution. As for the nozzles choice, I have no idea.

The Olson Ruby has a... Ruby tip, real gem, done for abrasive filaments, but fragile and expensive.
OBxidian is metal coated with filamentphobic coating and abrasive resistant too, no gem, just metal.

I am also thinking of DIY coating a brass nozzle. I am quite sure, that I read/see something about this. But I could not remember where or what the exact solution was. I only found a video which recommends to apply MoS2 grease/oil. This should work to temperature up to 450°C.
Any hints or suggestions?
