Interesting email:

EVENT:  05 Aug 23 8:31 AM - Customs clearance status updated.  The Customs clearance process will start while the shipment is in transit to the destination.

Further Details - Shipment has been given a release status by Customs.

Next Steps - Unless there is an adhoc physical examination or a stop by another regulatory authority the shipment will proceed to DHL delivery facility. Please continue to monitor the progress online.

I have never received this notification before.  Reads like good news.

Received a duty notice of USD 95.66.  Not a bad price for a $2600 purchase.

Just throwing my hat into the waiting room, I ordered my 2 head xl semi assembled on the 23rd and I hope its not too long before its ready to ship out. I'm starting to get a build up of projects that would really benefit from the larger print volume. I'll post again when I get any updates on the order to help people get an idea of where Prusa is at with their queue.

7/11 Notice that my pre-order converted

7/13 Finalized my order as 2-head, assembled printer and paid $3,215 (includes $216 for shipping)

7/26 Shipping notice from DHL for delivery 8/1

7/28 Hits customs in Ohio

7/29 (Saturday) Customs hold until payment...paid within 30 minutes of notice ($139)

7/31 Customs cleared, scheduled for delivery 8/1

8/1 Arrives in town 11:30AM, delivery rescheduled to 8/2

8/2 Arrives

8/3-8/4 Build stand for printer

8/5 Printer up and running

Total cost delivered for 2-head, assembled printer: $3354

There are a couple of quirks with 2-head in terms of clarity of how it operates, but it prints beautifully (very smooth extrusion, perfect first layer), the head swaps are fast and accurate and the printer is quiet in operation. 

The top frustration is the the remote control hosting could use some refinement and the remote connection for uploading files was fine but then didn't want to work for me for no apparent reason. I am going to try ethernet connection to see if that helps. The manual didn't seem to indicate this, but wifi seems to be limited to 2.4GHz...I tried 5GHz but it wouldn't connect.

FWIW, I just got off with Support Chat.  I have a dual head semi assembled order from just prior to the public reveal of the order page and just got my email last week that I could finalize my order.  Want to upgrade to the 5 head and asked if they are ready to ship yet.  Per the Chat Agent, they should be ready "in the next couple of days".  Fully Assembled will ship first, then semi-assembled.

Lol it'd be interesting to see how yours works straight off I've heard many people problems with theme

My XL worked perfectly right out of the box.

I am very impressed with the XL.
