Im understanding correctly, they said your day 1 pre-order for a single tool head is still months away?! Assume that’s semi-assembled?

Im okay waiting for mine if I know when I can expect it. I have things I plan to sell that can only be made on the XL and not knowing makes planning things extremely difficult.

There must be something special about your order.  Did you order all three printers in one order?

Sadly from what I was told on Prusa chat checking my XL updates ( I have 3 on order - 1 tool , 2-tool and a 5-tool ) ordered day 1 release I haven’t received anything yet . I was told to expect at least one of them in Roughly 2-3 months .

I received the MK4 I ordered quickly and absolutely love it . It Intergeated seamlessly into my Prusa connect farm and is running like a champ . I also have on order 6 MK4 upgrade kits ( they didn’t have any shipping estimates for me on those )

Nothing special at all ( the 2 tool was ordered as semi-assembled) I made them as 3 separate orders ( I’ve learned my lesson from previous preorder releases and delays to not order multiple at once it amplifies the delays ) with hopes to have the ship accordingly. They had said there’s nothing wrong with the orders they are just working on their back log .

That is odd.  I ordered a 2-head semi-assembled.  My order was in the first 10 minutes of orders.  It is hard for me to believe that your printer in the frist days is going to take 3 months.

I ordered a two-head, semi-assembled.

last day of may now. I read that multi-heads would be shipped in may.

now, after again an update on the shipping-table, they are mentioning june, 19th, … so more then twee weeks later … once more.

i surely can understand that they encounter multiple problems , … but please!!  Be a man about it and apologise for yet the 392th delay. 🙁 

i’m loyal to the prusa-ideology … but this is weakened by the lackof respect i keep experiencing.

i’ll explain it with another example:

i’m a science- and technical teacher (13 till 16-years-olds). If i would make the same kind of statements… and not keeping up to them … i would loose all respect and authority during my classes.

dissapointing.

but we’ll be patient of course.

That is a total Rube Goldberg explanation.  They really should be sending out emial notices to customers about when their orders will ship.  That page is fairly useless

I am upset to wait more time also, but I will use the negative energy to print more.  I am not going to let soemthing I can’t change drag me down.

There list doesn't make sense for the MK4 kit.  They start out with an April 12th date, but I ordered on March 29th.

The first day is 12 April for the kits.  That was the day it was anounced.  I would contact support.

March 29th I was talking to Chat and asked when i could order and they said to order now.  I tried and it wasn't available so I told chat.  They did something and up it came so i paid for my order.

  I don't know what they did, but I thought the ordering started in late March.

Hey, it could be worse. You could have pre-ordered a Tesla Cybertruck back in Nov 2019.

I have no reason to lie about it , wish I would’ve screen shot the chat window as verification . I have always been a huge Prusa supporter and I’m currently up to 22 Prusa machines running . The first MK4 I received in 2 weeks from ordering , I have 6 MK4 upgrade kits ordered waiting on those too . Their machines are top notch and we have always used them in our shop . 

When chatting about the XL they did not seem confident at all about a ship time , which is why I’m assuming they gave a 2-3 month window . Not hating on them at all , I’m very excited to get them house , just very disappointed in the lack of shipping communication.

No one is accusing you of lying, but clearly, you are getting different information from the chat help than I am.  They are tell me mid June on my XL order.  They corresponds with what is on the shipping estimates on the store.

I have to make a table of my orders to keep track and decode their table of deliveries.

What does "full production" mean?  Does it mean they'll be shipping at full tilt on June 12th or they'll only just begin to manufacture the more machines to be shipped who know when?

They also say:

The initial batch of dual-tool head printers will be shipped in the week of June 19th.

What is "the initial batch"? Is it one hundred printers or just three?  I ordered my two head XL semi-assembled within about 2 hours of pre-orders being available.  Am I the 10th order or the 1000th order (i.e. the "initial batch" or December)?  I'd love to get an email from Prusa a) just to let me know they haven't forgotten about me and b) to give me some idea where in the queue I am.  I guess they've got better things to do.

I love Prusa and I know about their extremely stretchable leadtimes, but this really has dragged out much, much too long.

Just got my email today for the single tool head assembled XL. Paid it up, so will see when it gets here.

I just received my Prusa XL (single print head) today.

The box is heavy, 70 lbs.

Quality of the printer looks very good.

Next step is to try it out.
