I'm not saying that they will start to ship the XL next week, but going as far as February is rather pessimistic.
According to the last info available from Prusa, they hope to deliver the first units by the end of summer. I'm going to believe that.. (until proven wrong 😋 ).

I put down a deposit the day after they started accepting orders. I really don't want one until they think they are ready. Q3 or next February is of no matter to me if it isn't ready for prime time.

All I know is Prusa takes the time to get it as right as they can before shipping and sometime a that takes longer then expected. I have mine preordered just like the mk3, and mini. There is a reason I keep coming back and it has nothing to do with shipping ETAs 😉

I agree with being patient.
I also think Prusa should be more forth coming with information. Generally, I'm fine with timelines slipping and products needing more time to get ready... but, if someone says "Q2/Q3" for delivery with not a peep of updates at all, and then Q3 rolls around and the company is "lol sorry we're not making this quarter either", that's bothersome.
It doesn't even have to be detailed information... just, updates. "We ran into issues with XYZ hardware/software component. We're working on it, but, this impacts our deliverables".
They teased a bit with the "Dev diary" thing, which, turned out to just be one post. All prusa really needs to do is keep that going with an update every 2-4 weeks. Pretty simple, and whoever is in the project management / engineering management parts of the org could easily be the ones to write things up.

Do we have clarity on delivery costs yet? I ordered with 2 tool heads - delivery to Australia. I actually don't mind waiting a bit more as I am running low on funds.

Just the price point. I mean, the options are either that they hide the cost of shipping in the unit price or they tack on $50.

Silly. Of course they will charge shipping. And shipping will be dwarfed by the customs charge.
