According to kickstarter, They just started shipping kickstarter orders on week ago.

They are kickstarter thing. However, to my knowledge, they have shipped already to all kickstarter backers, that means way more than just influencers should be seeing that machine already in real life. Regular sales have not started yet as far as I know but I would expect that it isn't long anymore until they will be selling via Amazon. Maybe I am mislead but they do seem to be one of the few serious kickstarter campaigns with the means and the intent to go mass market (as much as one can be with 3d printers). 

I agree that Prusa isn't doomed. But things might get less cozy in the market soon. 

 

EDIT: According to Bambulab "online shop pre-orders" are "coming soon" and one can already sign up for a notification.

Really? Shame on me then. Nonetheless, I have the impression that they are not faking it and really serious. I would never burn my money on kickstarter though, under any circumstances. You are really completely at the mercy of the other side there. Until the Bambulab is not in a proper shop where you actually can really buy that thing, it is indeed an elusive non-thing.

I think you are right.  Based on the videos that offer sneak peek from the influencers, I hope they work out a few issues.  The first official users might reveal that they have done so.

My X1C has shipped and is on its way to me. I won't be posting about my experiences with it here, though, since this is Prusa's forum.
If it's half as good as the "influencers" who have it have shown, then, it'll be a keeper and have a lot of potential for me to cancel my XL preorders.

Edit: There's FAR FAR more videos and demonstrations that have been posted on the Bambu Lab discord. Plus, the company is on that same discord and actually, you know, responds to people. There's still some bugs, of course, but Bambu is VERY responsive and transparent about timelines and if/when things can be addressed.

That is good to hear.  I may buy one.  I would prefer that that set up a forum and support network that is a little more robust.  I have to agree that the videos show some bugs but the printer appears very promising.

FWIW, Bambu Labs is already teasing a 300x300 machine in the backer survey they sent out a few weeks ago.

The Bambu is not a competitor to the XL.  It is more on the line of the MK3S.

I was considering pre-ordering the Prusa XL, however the device's measurements are almost 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet (31.49 inches by 31.49 inches by 35.43 inches). Oh, come on!

   Humm, when I preordered right after it was announced, pretty sure the dimensions were smaller as I first verified if it would fit in my space. If the depth of the printer goes beyond 24 inches, then I would have to cancel my pre-order for sure.

I got one X1CC and boy it is fantastic. AMS(MMU) that actually works out of the box. Fast as hell, prints ABS fast, Succefuly printed ASA with HIPS support, something I did manage to do only on custom idex machine and on Raise E2 ,that is 4k USD machine. This together with my voron 0.1 on my desk old working horse mk3 left without prints to do, so I sold it fast before it loses second hand sale value after Bambu X1's hit the retail market

Actually on the edge of doing the same... Still waiting some weeks to see how X1's reviews are doing (general responses, I saw some reviews already, but want a more "global" picture). Hope Prusa can come forward with some cool features in their next articles, as I really like their products and their way of doing things do far, so I still would prefer to stay on XL.
